Boarded by the American Board of Family Medicine, I was a fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. I have been in solo, group, and emergency room practice and have practiced primary care in a university setting. I was the president of a medical corporation, the president of a county medical society, and the chief of staff of a small hospital. I was on the adjunct faculty for the University of California at Davis teaching nurse practitioners, and I have taught medical students for the University of California both at San Francisco and Los Angeles. I also taught both medical students and residents at the university where I worked for the eighteen years before retirement.
