What is Cries of Embers Past about?
Dark magic, ancient prophecies, and the price of power converge in Cries of Embers Past--a brutal and brilliant continuation of the Thanatium Heros saga.
Cries of Embers Past is the explosive second book in Edward Loom's Thanatium Heros series, a dark fantasy where the lines between light and shadow blur, and the fate of two worlds hangs in the balance.
In the war-ravaged realm of Valghenthra, a colossal red warrior leads a chosen few through a mystical portal to Earth, wielding a cursed weapon born in the Forge of Souls. Their mission isn't salvation, but vengeance. As the armies of Hell encroach, this brutal force arrives not to save humanity, but to punish its tormentors.
Meanwhile, Aryandra, the daughter of the infamous Bloodbringer, fights to escape the darkness of her lineage. Haunted by her past and hunted by prophecy, she forms an uneasy alliance with Thaidren, a warrior bearing strange and terrible powers he barely understands.
From dwarven strongholds to blood-soaked battlefields, this epic tale binds together warriors, exiles, and reluctant heroes, each facing the cost of their own choices. As the Aspect of Heresy prepares to ignite chaos across Earth and Valghenthra, Aryandra and Thaidren must conquer their inner demons before they can confront the ones emerging from Hell itself.
Will they rise or be consumed?
